Part horror, part sci-fi, all cuteness, is perhaps the best way to described "Pure Trance",
Japanese manga artist Junko Mizuno's first full length graphic novel. Attracting an ever growing number of admirers since the manga first published in 1998. Last Thursday evening, the manga-ka herself, along with a number of die-hard fans packed Kidrobot New York for the premiere of Mizuno's first ever figures by Kidrobot. The 2 figures are based the 2 lead characters of the graphic novel: Keiko Yamazaki, the twisted director at the Over Eaters Treatment Center 102 and Kaori Suzuki, the kindhearted nurse. Junko Mizuno also took the opportunity to greet fans and autographed the figures.
The 2 figures are packed with details. The Keiko Yamazaki figure comes with 11 mini-syringes while Karoi Suzuki figure comes with a bloodied chainsaw and a pill. Along with the 2 figures, Kidrobot also created limited edition apparels based on Mizuno's illustrations, all are currently available at Kidrobot retail location and online store.
