Set to launch Saturday, June 14th, is the 3rd and latest collaborative timepiece from Casio G-SHOCK and Stussy. As part of the G-SHOCK 25th Anniversary celebration, the DW-5000 ST-1 JR will include a black face plate imprinted with the Stussy brand and its signature graphics. In addition, the LCD screen will feature Stussy's double "S" logo hologram.
This collaboration is a new rendition of DW-5000 model, the very first G-SHOCK that debuted in 1983. Before its release, Casio technicians tested over 2,000 prototypes to reach the acceptable criteria. Aside from using durable materials like hybrid stainless steel, Casio formulated a multi-layer protection technique, which include:
(1) Covered each parts with rubber coating
(2) Adhered the circuit board to a urethane shield
(3) Everything is encased in harden resin sleeve for added protection
The watch will have alarm function and water-proof up to 20 bars. It will be available at all Stussy chapters in Japan.
Release Date: June 14th (Saturday)
