Never known as a follower of existing trends, Tokyo boutique Liquor, Woman, & Tears (LWT), a subsidiary of retail giant UNITED ARROWS, always create unique sets of criteria when selecting products for its clients. Its amalgamation of urban wear and high-end styling has filled a distinctive niche within the Japanese market.
Recently the boutique decided to revitalized some of the long forgotten labels that were once the driving forces in their industries. Aside from its re-introduction of luxury leather goods purveyor Mode Creation Munich (MCM), LWT also debut a collection from SPX, a 1990s sneaker label. At its height, SPX was able to retained a die hard following, even though it didn't have a well established grasp of the US market. In order to remain true to its originality and fans' nostalgia, LWT is releasing the SPX I (1) and III (3), 2 models which best represent SPX signatures - X exterior brace, patent leather accent, and the large gold metallic lace lock. Both SPX models are currently available at LWT's flagship in Aoyama district of Tokyo and its online store on ZOZOTOWN.
