Red Bull Snowscrapers NYC - Event Recap

Last night, Red Bull held what might have been the first snowboarding competition in New York and according to Red Bull the largest urban snowboard event in North America. Red Bull Snowscrapers. The unique event drew out 16 of the top snowboarders in the world including 2006 Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Shaun White, Travis Rice, Terje Haakonsen, and Jersey's own Shayne Pospisil. The even also drew in masses for all over New York City and surrounding areas, most braved the chilling weather and walked over to East River Park along Houston Street. The ramp which was nine stories tall and 150 yards long took over 100 workers to build over the past three weeks. We didn't stay for the entire competition but local, Shayne Pospisil took home the $100,000 prize . Check out a few shots from the event.
