Though preparation is still a month away, leading comic book publisher Dark Horse Comics and Hong Kong's Toy2R announced the creation of special Domo Qee that is to be available during next month's San Diego Comic Con 2009 (SDCC 2009). Based on Domo-kun, a mascot created by Japan's national broadcasting company NHK in 1998 for station identification. Its popularity was such that it quickly became one of the most recognizable caricatures in Japan.
The Domo Qee SDCC 2009 Edition is 2-inch in height and comes as a special yellow transparent figure. Its part of a 17-assortment Domo Qee blind box collection, including a "Build-A-Domo" variant, all to be launch next month as well. The Domo Qee SDCC 2009 Edition will be available exclusively at the Dark Horse Comics booth in the convention from Thursday, July 23rd through Sunday, July 26th
