Dockers - Heritage Collection

Introduced by quintessential denim label, Levi Strauss, in the 1986, Dockers grew on its San Francisco cool and provided signature khaki pieces for lounging dockside. This year, the brand looked to Levi's, or rather, looked into Levi's, and tapped the company's vintage vault for a makeover. Docker's latest Heritage Collection, just shown at Pitti Uomo, have improved upon its classic pieces with new fabric and shapes. The classic work shirts and khakis are made from Galey & Lord twill woven on its original looms. This new twill is a lighter version of the original Cramerton cloth developed for WWII uniforms. In terms of design and aesthetics, some pieces are beautifully distressed and faded, even the khaki numbers, giving the items a great back story and warm gently worn feel. Blue pull over sweaters are also artfully faded and distressed for a light, casual touch. Hopefully the collection will be available soon as we have never been quite so excited with Dockers in a while.Images via: men.style.com
