It was recently announced that the Swiss performance company Sportec has released the 400bhp stage one performance upgrade for Audi TT RS. The aftermarket chip is able to extract more power from the 2.5litre TFSI engine without the need for any internal mods or touching the RS's engine management system, which is rather convenient. 335bhp at 5400rpm and 328 lb.ft at 1600rpm is the maximum out put for the standard RS which is turbo charged five cylinder and with the chip installed, the vehicle will push 400bhp at 5800 rpm and 401 lb.ft at 2650rpm which is a considerable increase.
What does that mean in real life terms? After the conversion, the RS is hitting 0 - 100km/h in 4.2 seconds compared to 4.6 seconds while standard.
