Brooklyn-based designer, David Weeks, doesn't only design modern furniture and lighting, but also create decorative items and miscellaneous domestic objects that are whimsical and interesting to fondle and look at. Based off his wooden toys, Ursa the Bear and Hanno the Gorilla that are whittled from sustainably harvested beech, the designer collaborated with Kidrobot to create a new version of the store's popular "Dunny" toy. Instead of the smooth plastic vinyl surface and fluid lines we are used to seeing from Kidrobot's Dunny, Weeks introduced wood into the game and created a more angular version of the toy-- the "Chiseler" Dunny. These limited edition toy is crafted from zebra-striped hard pine and comes with a swivel head and arms for some manipulative fun. Packaged in a custom wooden crate box featuring the "Chiseler", the new Dunny is due to drop on Sep 22.
