Still caring and still giving back to the community and helping the Africa combat the plague of AIDS, Converse, will be releasing another pair of kicks into its PRODUCT(RED) campaign. This time around, the all-American favorite Chuck Taylor Hi-Top goes monochrome red with a biker touch. Remade in a supple leather upper with biker jacket detailing such as zippers on the lace panel and up the heel, stitch patterning and quilted lining, these kicks are due to be released on Dec. 1 at The (Red) Stores in New York, San Francisco and London, online at Converse.com and at select retailers globally.
For those who are unfamiliar, Dec. 1 is also incidentally, World AIDS Day. Ten percent of the net sales of these kicks will be donated to The Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa, giving all an opportunity to be agents of change. The Global Fund aims to raise awareness and also help generate money to support financed AIDS grants in Africa.
A pair of stylish kicks that will not only add a punch to any denim you own for the winter but also help save the world? It doesn't sound too good to be true-- it will be true starting Dec. 1, so mark your calendars. via: HB
