Such rare collaboration have been realized with New Balance initiating this project between mita Sneakers from Ueno, Tokyo and Oshman's who have made way to Harajuku bringing sports shop never seen in Japan before.

After several meetings between the two retailers, they had concluded to produce a sneaker that is basic and represents the atmosphere of New Balance. This sneaker also pays respect to mita Sneakers, who have completed many projects with New Balance and had a successful "M574 History Gradation" model in 2005 for the 100th anniversary of New Balance. It is fitting that this model is also named "CM1001 History Gradation" reflecting its influence.

CM1001 uses the M1001 model as a base and this made in UK model attracted the attention of sneaker heads. Also combining heel sections of M576 with M1300's middle support sections and toe box of the famous M990 sneaker.
