So far, we've shown you two different colorways of Chris Paul's third signature shoe for Jordan Brand, the CPIII--the black and red version shown here and the "Mardi Gras" version in purple and gold. These are some detailed shots of the sneaker, where we can get a chance to appreciate the detail and technical innovations of the sneaker. In the white and red model, the upper is comprised of tumbled, premium leather and a pattern that Nike Calls a "Family Crest." The design of the crests have various references to Chris Paul and his family--one hexagonal pattern, for example, has his initials surrounded by the number 28 to indicate the number of years his parents have been married. Each color scheme shown here features a detail that has popped up on a number of Jordan Brand models lately--a Speckled area above the midsole.
One specific technological innovation for the sneaker is the employment of Podulon, a midsole coushin that is used under the forefoot to withstand high impact and still guarantee quick responses and unencumbered stability. Three colorways are shown here--black and red, black and blue, and a tonal black on black. A special, limited edition CP III sneaker is set to release on the day after Christmas, December 26 at select retailers. A nationwide launch will follow on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010.
