Starting 2010 afresh, creative lifestyle label Lifted Research Group (LRG) returns to its roots of supporting simple underground initiatives and to bring about overground effect. Supporting emerging artists and providing them with a platform for exposure has always been LRG’s dictum, and so the label turned it sunny California headquarters into the physical embodiment of that platform for Chicago graffiti artist, Pose.
Even in Chi-town where the bombing scene has been dormant for a while, the young graffiti artist has been getting a lot of attention with his loud yet insanely intricate work. Last year, LRG had collaborated with Pose on a limited edition artist tee, and this time around, Pose continues to bring his A-game back to his new canvas (LRG headquarters’ lobby). Working on his one of his signature pop-art comic styles, Pose incorporated different elements of the label, such as the label’s array of logos, into the mural and gives it an attention grabbing Pose touch. The giraffe signifying elevation, trees as a reminder of roots and growth, are all elements reworked into the label’s sunny lobby. Check out photos and video of Pose hard at work and the wonderful new look at LRG.
