At the end of 2009, Swarovski closed their year on a high note with a large collaboration project announcement. The label's component brand, CRYSTALLIZED, had enlisted the help of a group of the most renowned Japanese and international designers to create specially crystallized products incorporating the label's gems into menswear pieces. The brand has successfully tapped into the menswear market with several high-profile and well-received collaborations such as an accessories venture with Japanese label, visvim. Following up on that and others, newly released for peruse is a capsule collection with music/apparel collective, Kitsune.
Stylist Tomoki Sukezane proposed to the duo behind Kitsune, Gildas Loaec and Masaya Kuroki, to join in the CRYSTALLIZED venture, and the resulting collection is a simple, sophisticated and wearable line of well-fitting classic pieces highlighted with Swarovski crystals. The menswear staple polo shirt, double breasted navy evening jacket and casual chambray shirt are enhanced with Swarovski crystal elements for that perfect dose of opulence and shine that will look befitting at night without being loud. via: The Malcom
