The rebels will never rest! And this stays true both in George Lucas' quintessential sci-fi film, Star Wars, which had not only swept the world into an empirical frenzy but had also inspired its own religion (indeed, Jedism is now a recognized religion with devote followers), and also in the enterprise' collaborative venture with adidas Originals. A fresh preview from EDC is a new pair of adidas Originals x Star Wars kicks created by Hong Kong creative collective, CLOT.
The new shoe to hit the market soon is the Hoth Skate High. For those who are unfamiliar, the creative concept behind the Hoth Skate High lies in Hoth, the sixth planet of the remote Hoth system. It is a planet drenched in snow and ice, and sports various noons. In The Empire Strikes Back, the Rebel Alliance relocates to Hoth after the victorious Battle of Yavin. More specifically, the shoes take design inspiration from the Rebel Alliance and the snowsuits they don on HOTH.
While the picture previews is only a view from the back, the high tops seemed to be constructed from a mix of smooth and quilted tan suede panels and feature fur-lined accents in both the heel stripe and the lining. Of course, branding on the heel tab and special Star Wars logo (on soles and on the inside of tongue) are spotted on the collaborative kicks. Just when it seems like sneaker connoisseurs have seen everything there is to see from the adidas Originals x Star Wars collaboration, another breaks the ice. Another promising piece from the label, stay tuned for more information to come! via: EDC
