Estimated to be the largest boxing event in 17 years, boxer Manny Pacquiao went against Joshua Clottey on Saturday evening and successfully defended his WBO World Welterweight title. With 51,000 people in attendance at the new Dallas Cowboy Stadium, Pacquiao went on the offensive almost immediately and pounced on the larger Clottey with rapid succession of punches. In the meantime, it looked as if Clottey made a calculated decision to go on the defensive and waited for the opportunity to strike back. However, Pacquiao left no opening and Clottey's opportunity never came. After a 12-round spar, ringside judges handed Pacquiao the win unanimously. After the fight, Pacquiao expressed gratitude to those in the audience and his supporters around the world. But most importantly, Pacquiao answered a question on everyone's mind with regards to the fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. - "I want that fight, the world wants that fight, but it's up to him. I'm ready to fight any time."
