Though the controversies subsided after the launch of Nike's Air Max 90, the debut of Air Max 180 the following year still garnered much attention for obvious reason - giant Nike Air unit at its heel. However, the significance was not the size of it, but how it was made "visible" at 180-degree point of view. In its design process, Nike sought to incorporate harden translucent outsole into the design. Thus, achieving the "180" namesake and it becoming one of the first footwear to have a clear outsole feature.
For 2010, Nike is re-issuing the model once again, in 2 new colorways. The first being White/Black/Cyber-Yellow and now more muted colorways of White/Aqua/Orange. Both are available now at select Nike dealers, including all retail locations of size? in England.
