COMME des GARçONS x Superga 2560

Hailing from Torino, Italy, Superga has accompanied Italians from the city to the beach, from the office to romantic weekend getaways and kept their feet comfy since 1911. In 1925, Walter Martiny, the founder of Superga debuted the heritage 2750, the label's first pair of vulcanized rubber soled footwear, and ever since then, the 2750 had grown into an icon of its own right.

Aside from the 2750 which can be worn casually sans socks, Superga other iconic model, the 2560 has also won the hearts of many sneakerheads of who love a good vintage model. The 2560 was introduced in the 1970s for the army and Italian colleges, but it has also become a fast favorite among many. This season, Rei Kawakubo's Comme des Garçons revived the Superga 2560 by updating the classic with a lighter and more flexible body, perfect for walking the distance.

In true Comme des Garçons fashion, the reprise is kept simple in black with contrast white stitching, rubber toe cap and soles. The collaborative 2560 is exclusive to Dover Street Market and will be available in two cuts, a low top and a high top.
