Every sneaker connoisseur knows there are some few keys to good sneaker hunting these days-- checking out the collaborations, and going the vintage route. Sometimes, in a world where new can sometimes get a little old, it is the classics that hold down the fort and prove to last a few lifetimes. Thus, sportswear and sneaker labels have been gearing up with revivals and reissues, and Nike is no different. Especially since Nike has one of the most impressive archives to tap into, it would be quite foolish to give it up.
While Nike has been releasing the Nike Blazer High Vintage in several colorways over the years, this year, a perennial classic brushed suede version in varsity royal blue and varsity red are up for grabs. Like the other vintage releases, the soles are pre-yellowed, but according to our friends at Sneaker News, they are not done quite overboard like the Vintage Glory Pack from last year.
Of course, from a sartorial stand point, these gorgeously and deliberately faded Nike Blazer High Vintage are perfect for the gentleman feeling a little nostalgic for the good ol' days, and for adding a little extra learned street dandy vibe to this summer's possible uniform of plaid short-sleeved button downs and khaki shorts.
