Yes, there are the man you have been cheering for (or against) since 2010 FIFA World Cup kicked off last weekend, but these are also the men some love to hate, and renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz along with Vanity Fair showed us exactly why in its latest "Playing For The World" spread. In this photo shoot, Leibovitz has traveled to Brooklyn, Milan, Madrid and London to photograph some of soccer's hottest and brightest stars in their most essential colors, covering the most essential bits, and almost nothing else.
The roll call for the photo shoot almost makes up for a fantasy team, featuring Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o, Ghana's Sulley Muntari, Brazil's Pato and Kaka, Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba, Serbia's Dejan Stankovic, Germany's Michael Ballack and USA's Landon Donovan. Catch the World Cup fever on Vanity Fair's June Issue, and also online as the publication brings us internet updates of interesting happenings related to this summer's biggest international sports fanfare with Fair Play. Also, don't forget to check out the behind the scenes video as the soccer stars strip down for Lebovitz and dribble a ball or two. via: Vanity Fair
