A few seasons into Jil Sander and UNIQLO's highly lauded collaboration, +J, (especially for Sander fans who have been awaiting the queen of minimalism's return into the fashion world since the leaving saga with The Prada Group), Sander continues to prove that minimal and trimmed shall never equate to flatness and repetitiveness. Not with the Sander brand of creativity anyway. For Fall/Winter 2010, for which the first delivery had just hit stores, Sander leaves out the muted doses of color she had injected into the Spring/Summer 2010 season, and instead plays with construction and shape, padding blazers, adding peaked lapel to coats for a formal, tuxedo touch, and in some cases, such as for the ladies, leave out buttons on blazers all together and curving the reduced lapel. The palette is the usual cool grey and blacks with touches of white here and there. Check out the collection which is available for visual peruse now online at UNIQLO.
