New York photographer Tim Barber's latest show, "Burning Bridges", was a collaborative work with Nike Sportswear. The show featured "NYC Bridgerunners' But who are the "NYC Bridgerunners'? "NYC Bridgerunners' is a group consisting of young creative minded individuals who get together on weekends to run the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges. Tim Barber thought that these runners would work flawlessly with the Nike Sportswear collection, and sure enough he proved it.
Tim Barber decided to shoot the images in black and white to really express the stark energy of the streets of New York City, along with runners performing their routine activity. Tim Barber said himself that this was a challenge since the focus was out of his norm. He grew up skateboarding, so he's very familiar with skateboarding photograpy. Tim Barber's latest show was a challenge for him but he utilized the same philosophy as he used with photographing skateboarders showing the relationship between the environment and the subject.
The exhibition opened on October 18, and will be running through December at Nike Stadium New York.
The exhibition will be to the public, held through December at the Nike STADIUM.
