For those residing in New York City, Club Monaco is almost as prevalent on the streets as Starbucks. But for those outside the city, the extension of the Ralph Lauren family purveying a classic palette of black and white and strong, timeless, office-appropriate classics, is not an easy find. In order to make the label more accessible, Club Monaco has been pushing for better online presence, and it includes an upcoming e-commerce launch. Along with the new e-commerce site, Club Monaco is getting a little up close and personal with its customers with the debut of a new blog, CM Culture Club.
The blog has a layout which reminds us of Burberry's Art Of The Trench, but its content is sourced from creatives and also the public. To debut the blog, Club Monaco will be giving out more than 2,500 disposable cameras in key urban spots such as the Union Square Greenmarket, the Brooklyn Flea, and those being gifted a camera will be asked to photograph anything that inspires them. The images will appear as a visual collage on CM Culture Blog, and contributions will also include entered from photographer Victor Demarchelier, restauranteur Joe Campenelle, and Refinery29 style director Pietra Gelardi.
If you want to be a part of the project, do remember to swing by one of the hot spots tomorrow for a camera!
