Dr. Romanelli and Detroit’s Revive have collaborated on this new “Detroit” Collection which is the first of a series of collaboration projects that look to pay tribute to the great American metropolis that is Detroit, Michigan. The collaboration came to fruition via a relationship with Michigan’s Mike Posner and his manager. The “Detroit” Collection features a number of custom deconstructed team jackets that consist of a mix of jerseys, patchwork, and leather. Using the jerseys of various athletes who played a pivotal role on different Detroit teams who competed against his hometown Los Angeles teams, Dr. Romanelli decided to use Detroit Pistons’ badboy, Dennis Rodman, Lance Parrish of the 1984 World Series Detroit Tigers, and arguably the greatest running back ever, Barry Sanders. A second collection that is influenced by the city of Detroit, the city’s manufacturing economy, and it’s American workwear will be released in Spring 2011. Currently the Dr. Romanelli x Revive Detroit Collection is available now exclusively at Revive.
