Perhaps you have noticed that "coincidence" is not a term on the dictionary of Hiroshi Fujiwara. Almost everything the Japanese market maker plans is for a purpose. So as he offered fragment design x Nike Dunk High Premium for pre-order release over the weekend, its timing coincided with a special retrospective of the Nike Dunk itself at Nike Stadium Tokyo. Titled "Be True To Your Street", the exhibit highlighted the humble start of the Nike Dunk as the "low-top alternative" of the Nike Terminator in 1985. It followed the design through 2 decades and its many offshoots, including Dunk SB, the staple of skateboarders everywhere. The event also previewed several upcoming editions, including Vintage Edition Dunks and the "Reverse Side" Dunk Hi, exact replicas of the fragment design x Nike Dunk High Premium with exception of colorways and the fragment design logo. While invited visitors enjoyed the festivities, many joined photographer Keiichi Nitta, former apprentice of Terry Richardson, to take part in an impromptu photoshoot for Nike Dunk x Tokyo Street.  Maybe a lookbook will come out of this? via: FS
