Largely a defunct relic of the past here, TOWER RECORDS presence in Japan is not only strong but the franchise operates like how the music store was intended to be, a point of rendezvous for music lovers. Its success is largely thanks to Japanese' reverence in "authenticity" rather than "pirated content" and of course a good dose of clever marketing like this special edition PENTAX K-r Digital SLR Camera. Dubbed as the "Rainbow Edition", designers took the liberty to throw in all hues of pastel during production. A similar treatment, with the tagline "No Music, No Life" is added on to the OS home screen. Against the matte black camera body, the effect is even more dramatic. As with all PENTAX K-r, the collaborative model is quipped with a 12.9 Megapixels CMOS Sensor, a 3-inch TFT LCD with 921,000 dots, and the ability to record 1280x720 HD video. Limited to 300 units only and available exclusively through TOWER RECORDS of Japan.
