Known as "the cobbler to the stars", Pierre Hardy's voluminous creations have more similarities to sculptures than footwears. After years perfecting his ideas under names like Christian Dior and Hermes, the designer set up his own label in 1999 with clear definition to change the way we see footwear, especially sneakers. Long before Louis Vuitton or Gucci, Hardy created a high-end line of exclusive "trainers", including Limited Edition #8 of this season, promptly named DISCORAMA for its reference to the disco era. High top with laces and Velcro straps around the ankle, Hardy applied a careful series of 3D column works in metallic leather and black patent leather on black suede. To highlight the subtle variations, the designer included pipings also in gold and silver color sequences. Limited to only 500 pairs worldwide, Pierre Hardy's 8th limited edition, DISCORAMA, are now available at select boutiques, including the recently opened Pierre Hardy flagship in New York City.
