UNIQLO x Friends of the Highline - HIGH LINE RINK | Outdoor Roller Skate Rink + Pop-Up Shop

Visitors to New York City this summer will have another reason to visit the High Line Park during their stay. Already a notable example of urban renewal, the High Line will offer a somewhat unconventional amenity starting next week, the HIGH LINE RINK. An outdoor roller-skate rink and pop-up store concept made possible by UNIQLO, the HIGH LINE RINK will offer a recreational space right underneath the High Line. Situated within The Lot, a temporary plaza, and designed by notable architecture firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro, HIGH LINE RINK will be open for a limited time during the summer till early part of this fall. Because of its temporary nature, the familiar white/orange construction barriers will act as the rink's boundaries while its asphalt ground is painted with white geometric shapes for visual perception. Some of the park's original steels beams will also become the rink's bench seating. Apart from all the activities available on site, there will be the UNIQLO Cube as well, a glowing pop-up store with a wide array of UNIQLO apparels. Premium ultra light down jacket, UT graphic tees, Heattech inner wear, cashmere sweaters in various colors, all at the most accessible price.

There will be a $12 admission fee for adult and a $10 fee for children under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 must be in the company of an adult, though admission fee will be waived. All admission fees include the option of rental roller-skates for free. For the commencement of this most unique public space, UNIQLO will welcome the first 500 visitors during the first 2 days with free admissions. Stay tune for more details as the opening day approaches.
