We've all cringed at those prom or wedding photos of sneakerheads sporting Jordans with their tuxes. And while we can respect the wearers' single-minded allegiance to the brand, the overall look doesn't suggest sartorial elegance. The team at Jordan Brand, evidently having seen those same pictures, has built the latest Jordan V.9 Grown model with a patent leather upper. The polished material works well with the clean lines of the shoe, while the gum sole is a callback to the brand's athletic roots. If you must wear Jordans even during formal occasions, these are the way to go. Expect an October release.
