Fresh from the Frankfurt Motor Show last month where its debut received an overwhelming response, it is almost certain Alfa Romeo and the brand's parent company, FIAT, will put the C4 concept car into production. Today comes another hint of its probable launch in the near future as Alfa Romeo announced a brand new turbo engine. Starting in 2013, Alfa Romeo's facility at Pratola Serra will begin the production of a new turbo engine. Though the displacement will only be 1.8 liter, because of its direct injection, the engine is capable of producing 300 horsepower. That along with an all-aluminum construct makes it the ideal power plant for the new 4C, in place of the originally purported 200-horsepower, 1.75-liter turbo engine. However, there is no information thus far the 4C will be available over this side of the Atlantic.
