Without any fanfare or preliminary publicity, Volkswagen debuted its Buggy Up! concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Modeled after fiberglass Meyers Manx dune buggies first popularized in the 1960s, VW's two-seater is made of lightweight steel with a reinforced underbody, powered by a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine. Clearly built for fun, the vehicle lacks doors or side windows but does come with a removable fabric roof and features waterproof everything, from its neoprene-covered seats to iPod-powered infotainment system. Unfortunately, no word on whether the car will ever see production. Click through for more looks.
