London's Liberty department store is benefited by a rich history that dates back to 1875, when Arthur Liberty took out a loan from his future father-in-law and opened his shop on Regent Street. The emporium has since become a bastion of contemporary design and fashion, but especially on this side of the pond the Liberty name is known primarily for its floral-print fabrics, applied to shirts, scarves, dresses, furniture and even sneakers. The latest style to undergo the treatment is the Nike Air Approach. Two colorways transform the staid outdoor boot, usually done up in suede, into an explosion of florid splendor, one dominated by a textile upper in blue and yellow hues, the other brown and red.
