Nike is demonstrating a commitment to the athlete who refuses to let inclement weather dampen (no pun intended) his or her fitness regimen. That commitment is expressed by a three-letter application that's been used on the brand's running shoes (including customizable models on NIKEiD), and now on a pair of Trainer 1.3 Mid: DWR, or Durable Water Resistant technology, the protective properties of which the brand identifies with the Shield designation. In addition to a waterproof workout, the Trainer 1.3 Mid Shield provides a lockdown, stable fit thanks to Flywire, while the modified Free outsole delivers superior flex and comfort. A warm fleece lining, cushioned collar and enhanced traction round out the features. The shoe is available now on Nikestore.com. Check out all three colorways following the jump.
