The Bruin was first introduced to the world in 1972 as a basketball shoe, at the time one of just a handful of low-top models developed by Nike for the sport of hoops. Thirty-seven years later, the Bruin was reintroduced to the sneaker market through a collaboration with Supreme as a skateboarding sneaker. Since that Supreme-exclusive release in the spring of 2009, the Zoom Bruin SB has become a mainstay for Nike's skateboarding line. The upcoming Golden Straw colorway is an appealing match for the low profile silhouette, its rich mustard yellow upper accented nicely with black at the Swoosh and herringbone patterned outsole. Korea's Kasina has the shoe in stock now, so look for it do drop soon at your closest Nike SB retailer.
