The monolithic black billboard currently overlooking the East Balcony of New York's historic Grand Central Station is finally coming down. If purported information is confirm tomorrow, Apple will open its 5th Apple Store location in New York City this coming Black Friday, on November 25th. Said to take up some 23,000 square-foot of prime retail space, the store will be the world's largest Apple Store. Formerly the home of Metrazur restaurant by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer, the new storefront will set the tech giant back around $1.1 million dollars each year for rent, along with a $5 million compensation to Palmer for the space. But with some 70,000+ commuters, tourists, and residents traversing through station everyday. The expense is well worth it. images via: TechFootNote
