Agent of Change, though the job title sounds taunting and the task maybe impossible, its actually quite misconstrued. The fact is anyone can be an Agent of Change through charitable cause like Join (RED) and its Product (RED) initiative. In raising awareness to the plight of AIDS in the continent of Africa, Product (RED), along with CONVERSE, will launch the exclusive CONVERSE (Product) RED Chuck Taylor All Star on this World AIDS Day, December 1st. Participating in this year's project will be José Parlá, renowned for his abstract depiction of urban landscape and street culture. With the use of high-tech laser printing methodology, CONVERSE and the label's creative director of special projects, Ian Ginoza, reanimated Parlá's "Ephemeral Pitches, and Notes, Rhythm and Phonetics" print onto pairs of CONVERSE Chuck Taylor All Star. Because of its exclusive technique, the representation on the sneakers are identical to Parlá's original painting. And to finalize and complete this "work of art", a repetitive pattern of the artist's signatures are on the sneakers' insoles as well as the heel stripes.

With every purchase of the José Parlá x CONVERSE (Product) RED Chuck Taylor All Star, a percentage will go to the Join (RED)'s effort in Africa. As José Parlá stated, "Life brings you surprises and the best surprise would be that one-day the cure for AIDS is found. For now, I invite people to join Converse (PRODUCT) RED in the effort to help prevent more casualties, and become an agent of change." Comes in unisex sizes from 3 to 13, with each retails for $100, there will only be 500 pairs available worldwide and only through CONVERSE First String retail locations such as Stussy NYC starting this Thursday, December 1st.
