Dominated by the Brits, Japanese, and Italians, the field of super bikes will be making room for a Frenchman soon. Set to debut in front of its hometown fans at this week's Le Salon de la Moto in Paris will be the Superbob, a V-Twin superbike by French firm BOXER DESIGN. Armed with a 1000cc V-Twin engine by Akira Technologies, the same folks that made the V4 powerplant for Inmotec MotoGP Team, the Superbob is able to churn out about 158-horsepower. A very, very respectable number considering the bike will only be around 175 kg, or 386 lbs, thanks to its extensive carbon fiber framework. Another Superbob's distinction is its silhouette, much similar to a motorcross or cafe racer than other superbike. While its a mere concept so far, BOXER DESIGN stated it will put the bike into production if it generates enough interest with possible price range around £17,000 EU or $23,000 US.
