With all the hype around the 2013 Porsche 911's, it's good to know that advance shots of  its kid-brother, the 2013 Boxster, didn't slip through the cracks. Set to arrive in showrooms this summer - when this famed drop-top can truly show its colors - the 2013 Boxster has lost some weight, gained some more power, and flaunts some new attractive exterior features. Under the hood, the 2013 Boxster has a 2.7-liter flat six that pumps out 265 hp that comes standard with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual clutch. Although the details aren't in on its total weight, Porsche announced this model will be lighter than its current version due to a new type of aluminum and other lightweight material upgrades, which helps to give it a 15% boost in overall fuel economy. On the outside, it's easy to notice new bumper designs that include daytime running lights, the addition of a crease that runs to the rear fenders, and the re-positioning of the mirrors from the A-frame to the doors. The rear spoiler has even been moved back and blended into the taillights helping to give the Boxster a sleek silhouette even with a larger overall wheelbase. You can expect more news and specs on this  third-generation Porsche Boxster as it prepares to hit showroom floors this summer. via: Autoblog
