Maybe a decade from now we’ll speak of Jeremy Lin’s signature sneakers but tonight all attention will be on Air Jordan IV Retro “White Cement”. Worn by one of the greatest if not the greatest basketball player of all time, the Air Jordan IV made its debut in 1989 and became the subject of contention in Spike Lee‘s movie Do The Right Thing. In a testament to Michael Jordan’s growing fame at the time, the shoe also became one of the first Air Jordans to be widely available worldwide. But despite its popularity, Jordan Brand only release the White Cement edition once before in 1999. Certainly, a re-release is much overdue. So when the clock hits midnight tonight Eastern Standard Time, Jordan Brand retailers along with NikeStore.com and others will finally launch the Air Jordan IV White Cement, some 12 years since it was last available. Set your alarm now or you might have to wait another 10 years for another release to come around.
