Invitations have gone to influential Leica users and tech journalists for an event on May 10th, 2012. To take place in Berlin, the invites have no specific information except for the following:
"Leica celebrates the essentials of photography! We invite you to exclusively experience a whole range of product launches in a culturally and photographically unique atmosphere on 10-11 May 2012 in Berlin..."
But even with limited facts to go on, most Leica fans are certain the event will be the official unveiling of the anticipated Leica M10. A follow-up to the popular M9, the new imaging system is rumored to have a 24 megapixel full-frame CCD sensor from Teledyne DALSA. Plenty of speculations are also pointing to the direction of a full-frame CMOS sensor by Sony as well as one from the recently bankrupted Kodak. Nothing can be verify at this moment in time except more details will surface as we approach May 10th. via: Leica Rumors
