Bay Area residents will have the opportunity to enjoy Parra's first ever U.S. museum presentation when the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art debuts the exhibition "Parra: Weirded Out." The Dutch artist's use of bold colors, hand scrawled typography and curvilinear forms -- oftentimes depicting human-bird hybrids in high heels -- have garnered a cult following, as well as collaborations with the likes of Nike, Converse, Heineken, Vans and Stones Throw. The exhibition will include a 60-foot-long mural covering a wall of the museum's second floor landing, done entirely in acrylic and set to debut on March 31st, when the show officially opens.
