Windjammer is a term used to describe a large sailing ship made primarily with iron or steel hull, made to carry cargo throughout the 19th century to early 20th century. Although this type of ships are not in use anymore, Engineered Garments wanted to use the classic cargo ship as an analogy for their mountain parka. It's old style is full of personality and features details that are not commonly seen on today's high performance shell jackets. This jacket was made especially for Japanese brand BEAMS PLUS, where the parka was constructed from cotton canvas fabrics. There are several button flapped pockets on the waist, left sleeve, and back, giving it plenty of flexibility. This navy colorway is available on the BEAMS PLUS online store but there are also red, royal blue, and yellow versions available in their retail stores.
