Meet David. He looks like an average guy and you probably wouldn't even think twice if you saw him on the streets of New York City. But - this is where things gets interesting - David is actually an extremely advanced android built by Weyland Industries who is capable of doing "almost anything," even "carrying out directives that [his] human counterparts might find distressing or unethical." David, played by Michael Fassbender, is the star of the latest trailer for Ridley Scott's upcoming SciFi epic "Prometheus," titled "Happy Birthday David" (or "viral video #3" on YouTube), which also serves as an advertisement for the robotics company that designed him. Although there is a lot of hype around the film, which serves as the prequel to Alien and is set in the distant future where two superpowers battle for control of the entire solar system's resources, each trailer only increases the number of questions we have. And this one is no different. What is David's role in the battle to save the human race? Is he a friend or foe to the team sent to explore a new world, played by Charlize Theron, Patrick Wilson, Noomi Rapace, and Guy Pearce? Well, guess we will have to wait until Prometheus releases on June 8th, 2012 to find out.
