By 7 pm this evening, a new member will join the eternal procession of neon lights and camera flashes around New York City's Times Square. In place of the massive 23-story high billboard for Sprint wireless service will be instead a light graffiti by Vicki DaSilva honoring Chinese dissent artist Ai Weiwei. Titled "Jasmine Never Sorry (for Ai Weiwei)", the massive installation is the creation by Artists Wanted, an online platform for emerging creative types to propagate their work. Through its Art Takes Times Square competition of some 35,000 entries, members on Artists Wanted community voted DaSilva's work to be the one presented tonight. The unveiling event is to kick off at 7 pm EST with Questlove of The Roots as the evening's host. However, if you just can't make it tonight, Artists Wanted will broadcast the festivities via live webcast as well.
