Lazzarini Design introduces a concept that installs supercar power in a tidy Fiat 500 package. Dubbed the 550 Italia, the vehicle has a rear-mounted 4.5-liter V8 taken from a Ferrari 458 Italia. The engine is detuned from 570 horsepower to a relatively more manageable 550 horses, and the wheelbase is extended by about a foot to accommodate the engine and transmission. Additional modifications include a widebody kit, new bumpers, roof-mounted functional air intake and a large rear wing. Lazzarini Design is currently asking for $550,000 from investors to bring the Fiat 550 Italia to market.
