Last week's leak took all the air out of Canon's planned announcement scheduled for today to introduce the world to their first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, the EOS M, but there is still much to be excited about. Coming with a APS-C sensor, a 3-inch touchscreen, and a hybrid AF autofocus sytem, the EOS M boasts many of the features of its older brother, the EOS 650D, but with a smaller overall body size. A look at the back and top of the EOS camera shows a surprisingly limited amount of options and tools for the prosumer, but the this Canon launches with its own set of compact accessories, including two new EF-M lenses,  the EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM standard zoom and the EF-M 22mm f/2 STM pancake lens, and can also hold a range of other after-market lenses thanks to its custom adapter. The camera will retail at $799 when it debuts in October, arriving in red, silver, white, and black. Looks like Christmas may come early for many this year. via: engadget
