Unveiled at “The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering” at Pebble Beach over the weekend, the Special Edition Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, sporting a $2.5 million asking price, was sold to an unnamed buyer almost immediately. The Special Edition features a $300,000 bump in price over the standard Vitesse, which translates into purely cosmetic upgrades (while the 1,200-horsepower quad-turbo W16 remains the same). They take the form of a paint job that gives nod to the 1928 Type 37A, with the top half of the aluminum body finished in Bianco white and the lower half in New Light Blue. Inside the cabin, one finds custom-tailored Cognac leather with contrasting New Light Blue stitching, along with blue accents at the door handles and map pockets.
