While "The Legacy of Craftsmanship" collection from adidas Originals ostensibly celebrates the brand's relationship with a select group of athletes and entertainers (including Snoop Dogg, Lionel Messi, Caroline Wozniacki and Derrick Rose, the latter getting special recognition with these striking Torstion Attitudes), the most notable name involved in the project just might belong to Markus Thaler. The veteran designer, whose 40 years of service to the three-stripe brand included working directly with Adi Dassler, imparted his wisdom to a new generation of designers to develop this limited edition quartet of handmade sneakers. For Derrick Rose, the duo of Thaler and Josh Herr created a bespoke pair of Torsion Attitudes custom made for the Chicago Bulls point guard. Strong yet flexible, the shoe has a synthetic leather and mesh build, accented with faux reptile overlays, hand-punched metal eyelets and a leather-lined interior. A classic Bulls inspired colorway, plus a new D-Rose logo on the outsole, complete the details.
