As part of GQ's Best New Menswear Designers in America 2012 program, each of the chosen few (there are six designers in all) was tapped to create an exclusive collection for Gap. Todd Snyder, whose aesthetic "resides at the intersection of rugged and refined," developed menswear essentials with a subtle military theme: a cadet parka, camo pocket T, infantry cargo and fleece crew (plus a handful of accessories, including a knit beanie, scarf and military belt). The standout piece here is the military parka, featuring a nylon outer in vivid orange with a cotton fleece-lined interior. It's a fantastic update to a classic piece, and represents a material example of Snyder's ongoing search to discover "what is the next." Hear Todd's story in the video below, and look for his collection to drop at select Gap stores and online starting September 27th.
