It might not be Lake Wobegon, the fictional town in Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion radio series, but the placid surrounding of Lake Wandewega might just be the closest things to it. The idyllic backdrop of this lakeside resort also served as inspiration for Penfield’s Fall/Winter 2012 Collection Lookbook, aptly titled “Camp Wandewega”. Photographed by Ryan E. Plett and styled by Christine V. Mitchell, the rustic atmosphere, with that pinch of maritime feel, might have you confuse Lake Wandewega, a landlocked body of water in Wisconsin, with a New England township. Perhaps, it is that bit of bygone charm, the austere and homey feel, which supplement quite well with Penfield’s design characteristics.
Featuring key items from Penfield’s four product lines, the 1975 Collection, Classic, Trailwear, and Black Bear, the lookbook includes new styles like the Dyersviller, a down insulated jacket, and Eska, an insulated shirt best for layering. Additionally, Penfield expands on its women’s collection with the versatile Barksdale, along with the Sibley down vest. Items from Penfield’s Fall and Winter 2012 Collection are available through retailers worldwide and its online store now.
