Merecedes-Benz goes big to mark the 45th anniversary of their SLS model with the announcement of their SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary Edition. Five of these beasts will be handcrafted by the Mercedes factory in Affalterbach, complete with a carbon fiber body coated in a special magno graphite matte finish, a composite hood, trunk, and aero kit, and, on the inside, custom carbon-shell seats and a full steel roll cage. Under the hood, this SLS is powered by a AMG 6.2-liter V8, which was tuned with the help of the record DTM champion himself, Bernd Schneider. Finishing off the modifications is a set of AMG light-alloy wheels and a silver-framed "45-Years of Driving Performance" plaque on the car's gullwing doors. If that wasn't enough, the five lucky individuals who have the ability to pay the $600,000 price tag will be able to pick-up their SLS personally from the Affalterbach factory where they can take it for a spin on the official MB racetrack.
